3 Strikes equals a Turkey!

This past weekend flew by!  Big thanks to Nana for watching Jack while Terry went to all of my events with me.  Saturday I had two events: Paint New Town Pink & Pink at the Rink with the St. Louis Blues.  I even got to ride on the Zamboni!!!  Sunday was my biggest event of the year (besides the Race) - Spare Nothing for the Cure.  We hosted over 500 bowlers and raised a little over $26,000 in a day!!  I exceeded my financial goal and couldn't be happier.  But the best part of my day was having my family there to support me.  Enjoy the pictures of Team Tonsing:

"Hi I'm 8 months old!"

"I'm such a big boy!"

"Oh Hello I know you..."

"Let's pose for the camera"

"Are we done yet because I have other plans?"

"Got it!"

"What I'm not supposed to play with this?"

"But I LOVE paper!"

Weekend in K-ville

Jack and I went to Kirksville this weekend to visit with family and friends.  It was a very quick trip but much needed and lots of fun!  We drove up Saturday morning and arrived around 1 to eat lunch with Jack's favorite sitter - Miss Erin!  We had so much fun catching up.  Erin couldn't believe how much he's grown in just the 2 months she's been back at school.  Then she told us that she'll be home on fall break in 2 weeks - yeah!! Terry and I are already planning our date night!  Can't you tell from the picture how much he adores her?!!

Then Jack and I visited with my best friend from high school, Tisha and her husband Jeff.  They are in the process of adopting and we had such a good time talking about car seats, strollers and all the necessities one needs with a baby :) I'm soooo excited for them and cannot wait until they receive that most precious call!  Cross your fingers for a speedy, healthy and safe adoption for both Tisha, Jeff and the selfless loving birth mother out there!

From there, Jack and I headed over to Great Grandma & Grandpa's house for a delicious home cooked meal.  Grandma even made apple turnovers and brownies with Oreo's - yum!

It was about 8 when we headed out to my parents house and Jack got to hang out with Grandma, Papa and the uncles.  He even got to take a bath in their kitchen sink which he thought was pretty funny (since everyone was gathered around  him).  Grandma got him 2 pairs of the cutest Halloween jammies - which was very much appreciated since Jack "went" through the only pair I brought that night.

We had the best Sunday morning.  You know the kind where you lounge around in your pjs until 1 (or is that just me?), drink coffee and have biscuits and gravy.  It was heavenly!  My mom even drove into town, which takes an additional 20 minutes now that highway 11 is shut down, just to get us all Ronza's from Pagliai's (best pizza place in Kirksville). I love you Mom!  Jack and I left at 3 and made it the whole way back to St. Louis without stopping - now that's a great weekend!

I had to post this last picture - I just adore baby leg warmers!!

Swim Lessons with MemMem

Jack and I started "Mommy & Me" swim lessons this week.  They're every Monday and Wednesday for 4 weeks.  Our first class went great!  Jack loved the water, he enjoyed the songs and liked watching kids swim all around him in the pool.  The second class was a different story and of course this was the class that Terry attended to take pictures.  The water was about 10 degrees cooler on Wednesday night and Jack was not impressed.  He clung onto my shoulder the entire time and kept whimpering "MemMem".  On an awesome side note - Jack calls me MemMem (aka Mama) and it's absolutely adorable.  He's been doing this for over 2 weeks now but I kept forgetting to post.  He has also grown increasingly attached to me.  Poor Terry...but I'm sure that will change in a couple years when he wants nothing to do with me and just wants his Dad.  I'm going to enjoy it while I can!

All smiles after swim lessons were over!
