7 Months Old

What a big boy!
This smile melts Momma's heart
Someone likes paper
I mean really really likes paper
A sheet of paper could entertain him for hours...if only it didn't cause paper cuts :(

For the love of swings!

Jack and I went to the park last weekend with our neighbors.  It was Jack's first time but of course I forgot my camera.  So Terry & I took Jack back to the park this morning and got some really great pictures!  He absolutely LOVES the swings...

I know a lot of these are similar but they are too cute to pick just one:

Daddy & Momma brought me back this t-shirt from San Francisco - I think it's a little tight...

Why is Daddy making goofy faces behind Momma!

Don't you think I'd be a great model for tight t-shirts.

Seriously...are we almost done with the picture taking?

Fine!  Here's a picture of my first tooth :) Are you happy now?

Cali & Jack's Baptism

Terry and I spent this past week in California while Jack stayed with Grandma, Papa and Great Grandma & Grandpa in Kirksville.  I highly recommend this trip to anyone - our basic itinerary was: 2 days in San Francisco, 1.5 days in Napa/Sonoma, and the rest of the week was spent driving down the famous Route 1 stopping in Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, Pebble Beach, Carmel, Big Sur & ending at the Hearst Castle in San Simeon.  AMAZING!!

We flew in last night and then Jack was baptized today and everyone came to celebrate!

6 Months Old...where does the time go?

Jack turned 6 months old on Saturday...is it just me or did time just fly by??  It makes me sad to think that life goes by so fast.  You really have to take a breath and just soak it all in because before you know it - it's over.   But at the same time, I'm really excited for things to come.  Jack is growing like a weed! I can't wait until his 6 month appointment (week of Labor Day) to see how tall he has grown.  He seems so long and lean.  I weighed him tonight and he's still my string bean at 15.8 lbs...but he's finally ready to graduate into size 2 diapers.  The tooth that broke through on Wednesday is razor sharp!! And he loves when he bites our fingers and we say OUCH!  He just smiles and continues to gnaw away.
On Saturday Jack and I went over to Lisa and Mark's and picked up some great stuff!  Lisa packed up all of Caroline's baby stuff (toys, an activity mat, an exersaucer, a porta-crib, etc.) and we loaded it up to give to Grandma and Papa in Kirksville.   This way we don't have to lug stuff back and forth when we go to visit - score!  Then Papa, Uncle Ryan and Uncle Andrew showed up that evening because Ryan and Andrew went to the Card's game today.  Jack LOVES his Papa...it's really cute how he lights up around my dad :)  Speaking of LOVES - Jack tried peas today and HOLY COW he couldn't eat them fast enough!

AMAZING!
Terry drove all the way to The Blue Owl in Kimmswick, MO to pick up this cake up for my birthday.  There are no words to describe its goodness - layers of chocolate brownie, strawberry preserves, chocolate cheesecake, chocolate fudge icing and topped with dark & milk chocolate covered strawberries - YUM YUM!

Ready for some more peas - please!

Lissy came out yesterday and took his 6 month pictures but the sneak peak isn't ready yet.  Pictures to come...
